Staff Training
About our CEO....John (MrD)
He is based in New Zealand. Married to a Filipina from Davao - married for 23 years. He was a Catholic until he was 23 years of age, but become Born Again in May 1983, and has now been a follower of Jesus Christ for over 40 years. He has three children - 30, 27, and 20.
Church Life. He is active in his church - which is Baptist. He has been active in church Missionary teams and other areas of service within the church.
Prayer. John was never great at verbally praying for people, but found he was good at praying for people in written form, and had great responses from people when he did so. From that beginning, this Prayer Ministry was born.
Chat with MrD: Any time you want to chat with MrD in words or on video, just message him.
Ministry Vision
Many people come to the Lord, but many also fall away. It has been said that as many as 80% of those who come, eventually walk away from Jesus. Once they come, then leave, it is much harder to bring them back again. The Lord gave me the words "Save the Saved", and that is our main Mission. To help those who are Saved, to remain on their own personal walk with, and to God, our Lord Jesus. To strengthen them, encourage them in hard times, to pray with them.....to walk with them.
This picture is symbolic of what we do in our ministry. The Christian walk can be difficult with a winding narrow road, and often challenging times in our lives. During those times we "Walk With" those on their Christian journey. We encourage them, pray for them, and help to carry them during those hard times in life. We keep them from drifting away from the Christian Life.....we keep them in communion with Jesus, and with the Christian family.
God's Ministry
This ministry is God's Ministry - it is not MrD's ministry, it's OUR ministry, and we are here to HELP Jesus care for His people. And we do that by Praying for people, giving them Hope, and giving them Encouragement. For many of the people we pray for, PRAYER is their last hope.
Written Prayer: Most people have never received a written prayer - written just for them. It is a very Special and rare thing to have. A written prayer can be: Saved, re-read over and over again, it can be printed out, shown to others, it can bless a person over and over again. Strict Rule: Female staff pray for females, Male staff pray for males.
Who do we minister to?
Unlike most Christian Ministries, our main focus are - Born Again Christians. This is because most Christian churches around the world have an increasing problem of people Giving their Lives to Jesus - but then falling away when life becomes hard. In many churches, as many as 50% of Christians walk away from Jesus. In some churches, it can be as high as 70% walk away. The Lord said to MrD "Save the Saved". Help those Christians during their hard times, "Walk with them", pray for and with them, and keep them on track with Jesus when their lives become hard...... Be Jesus to them.
We have a special focus on the Philippines - so much need. But as we grow we have people coming to us from all over the world. We now have Clients in 40 different countries. (See Map).
Clients - They don't pay us anything - our Services are always Free. But we treat everyone as a Special Client.
75% of people who request prayer are Female - 25% Male. About two-thirds are Born Again Christian. Currently, about 70% are from the Philippines - this will become less over time as our ministry grows around the world.
Clients come to us through our Website, OnlineJobs, word of mouth, and also Google. We also receive repeat prayer requests from many clients.
How do we Minister?
Many people who come for prayer are already Christian, or on their way to becoming Christian. It is our job as Prayer Partners, to first Pray for them, but then also Walk With Them long term, for months....and maybe years. Pray for them, encourage them, teach them, strengthen them, carry their load when they need it, listen to them, answer their questions, and help them when they are in pain, in life. Our ministry is about caring for them, loving them, and keeping them close to God.
WhatsApp or Email: All of our Clients will provide either a WhatsApp address or an Email - or both.
Written Prayer: Prayer Requests will be sent to you by our Administration, on WhatsApp. The person sending the prayer request could come from anywhere in the world, but all will be able to communicate in English. Some people not on WhatsApp will provide an Email address. Important: You will only contact the person in Written Form, on WhatsApp. You will not contact them, at least initially, by phone, or video, or by audio chat. Please follow this rule, as it is important. The person you are praying for will most likely be in a totally different time zone to you. So give them space, and allow them to read your messages and prayers - in their own time, and then respond.
Always take time to pause before praying, to listen to what God may want to say to your Client, "through you". Never copy and paste from another prayer

Using Bible Scriptures
You might like to include a Bible Scripture in your prayer. You can use ANY scripture in the entire Bible - New or Old Testament.
We have provided "40 Promises from God" on our website. These are very helpful and we often choose one of these scriptures to copy and paste into our prayer response. So that your prayer does not become too long - we suggest in most cases you only include One Bible Scripture along with your prayer - not multiple scriptures. But if you really want to use multiple scriptures for a particular Client - then you can.
FREE to All
Our Prayers and Hope and Encouragement to All is Free and will always be Free. Our ministry is to open the doors of love through Jesus and prayers to all who seek them. We desire to "walk with" those who are already Christian - and to open the doors to Jesus to those who do not yet know Him. We give freely of our time to bless others.
WhatsApp and Email
We find that WhatsApp is very useful to communicate with our Clients - but also with our Staff. So most communications are done using WhatsApp whenever possible. Easy for us to see if our clients have read our message. So WhatsApp is our first preference. If a client does not have WhatsApp, then we send them our prayer by Email. The disadvantage with Email is sometimes our prayer goes directly to Spam or Junk email folders - and never gets seen by the client.
A Real Example
After reading the Prayer Request - I take a moment in prayer before I start my response....
I then go to our Bible Verses within our website to see which verse speaks to my heart for this person. (Please note, you can use Any verse within the Bible, but I usually find a verse on our website that speaks to me for each Client).
Exodus 14:14 (NIV) “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Hello Leila. I am John Devery in New Zealand, I am on staff with Your Prayer Partner. Thank you for your prayer request, which is "Im praying for my husbands salavation. My husband is currently bound by alcohol and filed for divorce and living with another woman. Our kids are hurting. He refuses to communicate with me, and if he does, it always leads into him getting extremely angry".
I am sorry to hear of your situation Leila. The Lord Jesus hears your cry. Here is a bible verse that I believe the Lord has for you: Exodus 14:14 (NIV) “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Thank You Jesus for the life of Leila - thank You that she is already your child. All things are possible with You Lord, sometimes we need just to be still and watch and wait for You to work your wonders in our lives and the lives of others. Lord Jesus we ask for mercy in the life of Leila's husband, that You would touch him and his life and open his eyes to You. Lord we ask that You would take anger from his life and replace it with gentleness and love, with joy and peace. Please Lord take alcohol from his life and replace it with You. That he would return to Leila to rekindle the love in their marriage - that forgiveness will take place. We pray for restoration of this marriage, and restoration and healing for the children. I pray for blessings and peace for Leila, in her life - that she can hand this situation over to You Lord, and "be still" as you work in her life and his life. Thank you Jesus for Your love for us - our loving Father.
Thank you Leila for the opportunity to pray for you. Please come back to us whenever you need more prayer or encouragement, we are here for you. Please tell others about our Ministry as we would love to touch them also. Send them to our website: www.YourPrayerPartner.com

Pray before praying, then just let the Holy Spirit speak to you as your write your prayer. I am always amazed at what the Lord writes through me. Just release yourself to the Holy Spirit and He will write a prayer by your hands. Trust in Him.
Prayer Time Frame
Most people are expecting to hear from us within 1-3 days, so when we give you a new Client, please don't delay.
VERY IMPORTANT. If you cannot complete the prayer within 3 days please communicate with us so that we can give that request to another staff member. Don't wait for 4 days and then tell us!! Tell us as soon as possible if you cannot do the prayer.
Prayer Partners (PP's) have the job of "first contact". Many clients who send us prayer requests are desperate, in sadness, in sickness, and in urgent need of your contact and prayers. Please contact clients within 24 hours if you can. If you cannot contact clients within 48 hours, please send a note to me or our Admin, and where possible we will reassign that prayer request.
We aim to stay in contact with clients over the long term. And this is really where our main mission lies. To keep in touch with clients, to walk with them, to help them maintain a strong healthy relationship with God. We might contact some clients 2-3 times a week for a start if they are in a desperate situation, other clients we might contact 2-3 times per month, and with some clients 3 or 4 times per year, but we will also encourage clients to contact us when they are in need of support or prayers.

Your Prayer
Pray before Praying: God may have a particular message for your client. Take a moment to pray and listen to Him.
Don't overdo it: No more than one scripture in most cases. Keep it mostly simple - no long long complex prayers. Remember the person you are praying for is probably only expecting a short prayer of a few sentences. A long prayer complex prayer can be too much for some people, particularly if they are non-Christian or have never had anyone pray for them before.
No Jargon - as many people do not understand it: Abba Father, Yahweh, Jehovah, ............such phrases can confuse people and make them run away from us. As Christians, we know and love these phrases, but baby Christians or Non-Christians may not yet be comfortable with these phrases. So keep your prayers quite simple for a start.
Do not use AI - computer-generated prayers!!! We want our Lord God - Jesus, to be at the centre of our prayers - not a computer.
Do not Copy & Paste Prayers - that you have prayed for other people. God may have a Special Message for the person you are about to pray for. Pray before praying, follow what you feel is on your heart for your Client.
Sample Sinners Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
Your Prayer Ministry
You decide - how much time you want to spend in our ministry. 1 hour a week, 1 hour a month, 3 hours a week? You decide.
This prayer ministry is about bringing our Clients closer to God - but it is also about bringing You closer to God in your own personal walk. There is nothing better for your Own Christian Walk, than to pray for others.
Never see praying for others - as Work - see it as an opportunity to minister to and encourage others. See it as a Special Moment, not only for your Client, but also for You to get closer to God.
If this ministry ever becomes like - Work - for you, please talk with me about that. This is not work, it is a time to bless others, and be blessed yourself.
How you receive Prayer Requests
You will be part of our Staff WhatsApp Group. Our Administration will send a post when we have incoming prayer requests. If you are available to accept a Prayer Request, just send a simple message to the Group. We will then be in contact. So you need to check your Staff WhatsApp Group at least twice a day if possible.
Trainee Prayer Partner
For a start, you will be a Trainee Prayer Partner (TPP). You will send your first 2 or 3 completed prayers to John (MrD) to check and make any comments or edits. John will approve and then you can send it directly to the client. Once John is happy with your progress you will then become a Prayer Partner (PP), and you then send prayers to your clients directly without being checking. If you have any questions about this process, please send a question in the form at the bottom of this page.
Communications
PLEASE regularly read your WhatsApp messages from us - Daily if possible.
If things change in your life and you are no longer able to spend time in our ministry, or you need to take time away from us, please communicate with us - don't just disappear from us. And also tell us if you need prayer for yourself.
Thank you for reading our Training Page.
