Jesus in My Life
Read what some of our staff say about Jesus in their life
John
Jesus has been in my life for 43 years, since I was 23 years old. I cannot imagine my life without Jesus, He brings peace, joy, a solid foundation for my life, and a real reason for me being here on earth. I have a personal relationship with Jesus, I talk with Him every day, as I pray. He guides me in His plan for my life by His Holy Spirit, who teaches me and guides me. The Bible is not just a book to me, it contains the real words of Jesus, written through men, to help me in every area of my life. As a Christian, I do not seek fame or fortune, or possessions or the praise of men. My focus is to help others, and to use the gifts and talents that Jesus has given to me to bring others to Him, and to extend His Kingdom here on earth. Because of Jesus, I do not worry, I have contentment and provision every day, and I have no fear of death. I accept everything by faith that the Bible says as real and Truth, and I look forward to meeting My Jesus at the end of my final day here on earth. My Jesus can also be Your Jesus. He stands ready to meet you today, with love and open arms.

I grew up in a Christian family and community but for me church has only been a routine and activity every Sunday since I was a kid. Everything changed when I personally encountered Jesus when I was 16 years old in a youth camp. Encountering Jesus and having a personal relationship with Him is the greatest gift I have ever received. I thought I needed to be "perfect" for me to go to heaven and be accepted by God and so I lived a life of giving my best "to do things right and correct and not slip or do any mistake" because I was afraid to go to hell and not be worthy of His love. It put me in a cycle of performance treadmill and I would always be disappointed because I always fall short. When I encountered Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit made me understand the Good News that Jesus Christ came to save the lost and to save sinners, including me and that all I need was to put my faith in His finished work on the cross and accept Him as my Lord and Savior, everything changed for me. Life may not be perfect and may be full of upside downs. You may go through a lot of trial and challenges, even persecutions, but once you have Jesus in your life, everything has meaning and purpose that outlasts what's temporary. That's when I understood that it was not my good works that will save me or my performance but only Jesus can save me from hell and from eternal damnation and from a life void of meaning, fulfillment and purpose. What He did for me on the cross was perfect and complete and I just have to put my faith in Him and I will be saved. I realized, it's not about "I have to change in order to be accepted by God." It was actually, "I have to go to Christ despite of my imperfections, sins, shortcomings, because only Christ can change me." Only Jesus can save me, make me holy, righteous, loved. The gift of salvation and eternal life is also for you! Jesus wants a relationship with you! Open the door of your heart and let Him in!

Growing up without someone to depend on and carrying the responsibility of being a breadwinner made it difficult for me to rely on or trust anyone. I was used to handling everything on my own. But when I encountered Jesus, my perspective began to change. Slowly, I learned how to let go of control and surrender everything to Him. Now, Jesus is my everything. Without Him, I am nothing. He is my friend who patiently listens to all my stories whether they are filled with joy or pain. He is my advocate who intercedes for me, and He is my Father who provides for me and loves me despite my shortcomings. Even when I wander or fall short, He continues to pursue me with unwavering love. No matter where you have been or what you have done, He is always ready to receive you. I am deeply grateful that He called me to follow Him back in 2017. And I can't imagine my life without Him. Seek Him while He may be found. He is our loving Father, patiently waiting for our hearts to turn back to Him.

I grew up in a Christian family; my father usually takes us to church every Sunday and I heard a lot of stories from the Bible, especially about Jesus. When I was 16 years old, God made me realize that for me to be a true Christian, I must believe and put my faith in Jesus. Because of God's love and because of the salvation I have in Jesus, I surrendered my life to him and now I am serving the Lord as a youth adviser, preacher and music director in one of the local church in the Philippines. In Christ, there is hope and peace. He gives me guidance every day through his word and convicts me through the Holy Spirit. It is always a comfort to come to him in prayer, knowing he forgives and he listens. And in his word, I find wisdom and principles from the life of people who were used by God mightily. I don't have everything I want in life, but in Christ, I did not found myself lacking in what I need. He is my provider! His love for me is unchanging, and I know he loves you too! He sent his Son to die on the cross for our sins, and by believing in him, he can be your Savior too!

Jesus is my personal savior. He is the one who paid for my sins. It still amazes me that the Creator of this world could die for me. Charles Wesley said it best in the hymn " And can it be that I should gain, an interest in the Savior's blood? Died He for me, who caused His pain? Amazing love! how can it be that Thou, my God, should die for me?" Not only did He die for me, but through it he reconciled me with God. He is my redeemer but more than that He is more than a friend and comforter. Since the day Jesus saved me He has changed my life and is my constant source of help. This life is not easy all the time but trusting in Jesus makes everyday sweeter than the day before. Trusting in Jesus was the best thing that could happen in my entire life. This world and the things of this world will cease one day but Jesus promised that whoever believes in Him will enter eternity with Him.
